A Time To Be Born Bettie Lane Davis-Gamble, was born on March 17, 1962 to the late Robert (R.B.) Ellison and the late Eva Mae Davis.. She was called from labor to rest on Thursday, September 14, 2023. She was a graduate of Johnsonville High School Class of 1981, Johnsonville, SC. and obtained an Associate Degree from Spartanburg Methodist College, Spartanburg, SC. A Time to Rejoice ettie’s contribution to the workforce includes; Her most recent position as a staff member of the Lake City Library. A job she enjoyed thoroughly for 19 years, and one that gave her perks, such as; The Dallas Cowboys Victory Dance, Facebook friends looked forward to her new moves every episode. Her previous jobs were; Walmart, Washington Mutual, and the Disability & Special Needs Board. The Dallas Cowboys Number One Fan, and proud member of the Stars United Dallas Cowboys Club. Bettie was known also, for her love of shopping and displaying her helping spirit. If you did not have a smile she would gladly loan you hers, with a lot of added laughter. She was joined in Holy Matrimony to Oscar Gamble III on March 27, 1993. A Time to Depart Bettie departed and entered into eternal rest on Thursday, September 14, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents; Robert (R.B.) Ellison and Eva Mae Davis, Father and Mother-in-law; Oscar Gamble II & Francis Singletary-Gamble, a brother; Steve Woodbury , a Sister; Shirley Belin, a niece; Eboni Nicole Davis. two sister-in-laws Donice Gamble-Majors and Betty Gamble; A brother-in-law, Latay Godwin. A Time to Mourn Bettie loved her family and friends. She leaves to cherish her precious memories; her devoted husband Oscar Gamble III of the home and, four wonderful children, whom she adored. Two loving daughters; Brittany Gamble of Lake City, SC and Vashti (Erica) Brown of Charlotte, NC. two caring sons; Jasmine Gamble of of Columbia, SC and Adrian Gamble of Kingstree, SC. four precious grandchildren; Jasmine Graham, Brylon Graham, Ri’ahna Townsend and Markease Townsend.Eight siblings; Terry(Fenda) Davis of Johnsonville, SC; Lori Ann Graham of Fredericks of Bridgeport, CT; Gary Ellison of Silver Spring, MD; Kenneth Ellison of Middletown, CT; Kinte Ellison of Lake Mary, Florida; Brad (Regina) Davis of Kingstree, SC; Verilen Selph of Newark, NJ; Ida (Elisa) Davis) of Middletown, CT; aunt, Ida (EJ) Davis; Godmother, Helen Carter, four very special friends, Tykisha Cooper, Phyllis (Terry) Beaufort, Mary Jett and Mary Green.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives , family and other dear friends.
