Alex “Wanya” Williams, son of Corine Gaskins and Alex Junior Williams was born on
September 17, 1996. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; Ruth and Nolan
Sherills. Paternal Grandparents; Kelly and Martha Williams, Grandmother Dora Nettles. Great-
grandparents; Hilton and Ella Majors, Aunts; Allie Butler and Donna Williams.
“Wanya” as he was so affectionately called, received his formal education in the public schools of
Florence County School District Three in Lake City, South Carolina.
His hobbies were listening music and playing video games, but most importantly picking up his
mother out for a drive and kissing and loving on her, always reminding her of his love for her.
Loved ones left to cherish his precious memories; His Loving Mother; Corine Gaskins of Lake
City, South Carolina, His Devoted Father and Mom; Alex (Mary) Williams of the home. One

South Carolina, Kelley Williams, Patrick (Mashell) Nettles and Larry Nettles all of Florence, South
Carolina, Franklin (Melanie) Williams of Cades, South Carolina, Robert Butler of Hollywood,
Florida, A Special Uncle; Hilton Williams of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. A God Mothers; Gloria
Jean Graham and Flora Shaw. God Sister; Shannon Brown. Five nieces, Three nephews other
cousins, relatives and very dear friends.
