Mrs. Hazel Lee Graham, daughter of the late Eddie McClam
and Rosa Brayboy McClam, was born July 4, 1923 in Florence
County.
She was preceded in death by two sisters: Ruth Cooper and
Willie Mae Nelson; and seven brothers: Raymond McClam,
Eddie Jr. McClam, Robert McClam, Luther McClam, Hoyt
McClam, Marion McClam, and Wilbur McClam.
She received her formal education in the public schools of
Florence County. She worked on a farm for many years to help
her husband care for their family.
At an early age she confessed to Christ as her personal savior
and became a member of Little Star Holiness Church and
served as the mother of the church.
She was united in matrimony to the late Deacon Foster Graham.
This union was blessed with seven children.
On Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at Faith Nursing Home in
Florence, SC, Hazel Lee Graham was called home by God
after an extended illness.
She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her loving memory
two sons: Teacher Elton (Bertha) Graham of Scranton, SC and
Wallace (Ella Mae) Graham of Lake City, SC; five daughters:
Geraldine (Elder Carlton) Shaw of Tampa, Fla, Lola Cosby of
Pompano Beach, Fla, Lutricia (Williams) Singletary of Lake
City, SC, Mary (Melvin) Smith of Olanta, SC, and Ms. Christine
Griffin of Effingham, SC; twenty-four grandchildren; forty-nine
great grandchildren; forty-three great great grandchildren; and
a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
