Hessie Singletary Obituary
Hessie (Mcfadden) Singletary, daughter of the late Lonnie and Vinnie McFadden, was born September 16th, 1929, in Lake City, SC.
She departed this life on Sunday September 12th, 2021.
She accepted Christ as her savior and became a member of New Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church. Hessie lived her life
committed, serving in many capacities including a Sunday school teacher in the church until her illness.
Hessie was joined in holy matrimony in 1950 to the late Deacon John W Singletary and preceded in death by her son, the late
James Singletary and daughter Lena Cooper. She was also preceded in death by 6 sisters: Mamie Barksdale, Bertha Blands, Hattie
Thomas, Hanna Davis, Ellie Fulmore, and Ronetha Fulmore, two brothers, Waitus Mcfadden, and LG Mcfadden.
Hessie leaves to cherish her memories; her loving daughter Mada Singletary. Two Brothers, Guy Mcfadden Jr (NJ), and Roosevelt
Mcfadden (NJ) (Ann). Five granddaughters; Barbara Reynolds (FL), Michelle Singletary, Andrea Wilson, Jameshia Singletary, and
Hessie Renee Wilson. Three grandsons, Sean Wilson (Cilantay), Joshua Wilson, and a special grandson she raised as her own,
Lonnie John Wilson. She also leaves behind nine great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and
friends.
