Mrs. Ida M. Burgess, the daughter of the late Frazier Wilson
and the late Katie Brown Wilson. She was born in Williamsburg
County South Carolina March 20 ,1932
She received her education at Glendale School, Williamsburg
County South Carolina. From time to time she sang on various
choirs at various churches.
Ida Burgess was a member of St. Mark Holiness Church, a
Mother of the church.
Ida Burgess was employed as a cook for Lee's Olanta House
Nursing Home for 15 years. Additionally, she was an Avon
representative for approximately 30 years.
Ida leaves to cherish her memories, seven children
William Burgess (Margaret), Bobby Burgess, Carrie Hickson, Tony
Burgess, Billy Burgess (Artonia), Barbara Burgess and Freeman
Burgess: sisters -in-law
Jettie Mae Wilson and Trudy Wilson.
Additionally, there are a number of grandchildren, nieces,
nephews, great-grandchildren and cousinsthat loved her and she
loved.
Preceding her in death, son: Willie Burgess (Lucille) and
husband Freed Burgess sister-in-law/best friend:
Creola Burgess
(They were there for each other throughout their marriages and
child rearing years)
all of her siblings and parents preceded her in
death.
Ida loved to cook. She was extremely kind and generous to
all. There were many in the family and community that she
befriended and helped with counsel as well as with financial
blessings. She was an intelligent, wise businesswoman
and above all she was a God-fearing woman and disciple of Christ.
She was truly an amazing woman.
