James Machiah Weaver, son of Victor and Carrie (Suggs) Weaver, who proceeded him in death, was
born May 12, 1954 in Hemingway, South Carolina. He was a lifelong member of Jerusalem AME Church.
James was a firm believer in God. His brothers; Thomas Weaver, Victor Weaver Jr., Willis Weaver, and
sisters; Maxine Weaver, and Emma Scott, all preceded him in death.
As a child, Machiah attended Williamsburg County Schools. In the early 1960s, Machiah and his family
relocated to Washington, D.C. where he continued his education at Washington D.C Public Schools.
Although Machiah suffered from a physical handicap since the age of 12, he was very independent and
managed to physically take care of himself.
In the 1990s, Machiah returned to Hemingway, South Carolina. Machiah was a caring, strong, and
outspoken man. He was also very prideful. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
Machiah is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, an aunt, and friends.
