Janet Yvonne Nance entered into eternal rest on November 24, 2022. She was born on January 18, 1948 to Mr. James Earl Timmons, Sr and Jessie Mae Thomas Timmons. Janet grew up in Lake City, SC. She accepted christ at an early age. She attended Carver High School. After graduation she moved to Philadelphia, PA where she attended college ( University of Pennsylvania). She later got married to Ernest Stafford Sr. and became the mother of two children, Ernest L. Stafford, Jr and LaRhonda (Richard) Nelson. She later moved to Orlando, FL where she continued working in the medical field as a C.S.T. and Physician’s Assistant in surgery at Lucern Pavilion: A part of Orlando Regional Medical Center and Orlando General Hospital.
Janet later moved back to her hometown of Lake City, SC where she was a loyal member of Greater St James AME Church. She served on a host of committees. Janet enjoyed knitting and showering her family members with gifts and love. She cherished every moment she spent with her kids and grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her father and Mother, also two brothers: James Earl Timmons, Jr. and Johnathan L. Timmons. Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Ernest L. Stafford, Jr. LaRhonda (Richard) Nelson, and an adopted daughter, Yvonne Nance, her sister, Judy Timmons, sister in law Ruth Cameron Timmons. Her lovely grandchildren Lafayette Bradford, (Zakkiyyah), Enrico Hanna, Kaylin Nelson, Kaci Nelson, and Kelsi Nelson, great-grands Jordyn Bradford, Zuri Bradford, and Brooklyn Bradford. A host of nieces and nephews Tara Anissa Robinson, Kizmet Timmons (John Green), Loukisha Brayboy, Jessica (Byron) Clemons, DeMarco (Clintnecha) Brayboy, Deanna Brayboy, Tyeishia Burgess and many great nieces and nephews.
