Mr. Jerome Clay Davis,, was born to Thomas Davis, Sr (deceased) and Rosa Lee Montgomery Davis, on
February 13, 1954, in Florence County, South Carolina. Early Monday morning, June 13, 2022, Jerome
departed this life at MUSC Florence Hospital.
At an early age, Jerome joined St. John United Methodist Church.
Jerome went to public schools in Florence County and later served in the military for a period of time.
He was an employee at South Carolina Prestress Cooperation where he worked until his health declined.
Jerome was united in holy matrimony to the late Ida Ree Gamble Davis. To this union, he was blessed
with two children.
Jerome was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Davis, Sr.
Those left to cherish his memories are: Tiffany Davis (Daughter) of Lake City, SC and Jerome Edmond
Davis, (Son) Florence, SC. His loving mother, Rosa Lee Davis, Scranton, SC. Three beautiful
grandchildren, Keirin Davis and Jeziya Davis, Lake City, SC, and Holden Davis, Lake City, SC. Two brothers,
Thomas (Laura) Davis, Jr, Lake City, SC, and Frank (Melissa) Davis, Summerville, SC. Six sisters, Mary
Fulmore, White Plains, NY, Drew Ann (Howard) Graham, Olanta, SC, Gloria Davis, Winston Salmen, NC,
Emma Davis, Columbia, SC, Sandy Davis, Florence, SC, and Etta Teresa Spates, Woodbridge, Va.
Daugher-in-law, Shandreka Davis, Lake City, SC. Brother-in-law, Gene Gamble and Joseph (Kimberly)
Singletary, both of Lake City, SC. Sister-in law, Valerie Collins, Lake City, SC. One uncle, Paul Davis,
Johnsonville, SC. Three aunts, Annie Bell Graham and Carrie Bell Brown, both of Lake City, SC, and Kay
Francis Montgomery, Winston Salem, NC. A host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
