Johnnie Waller Obituary
Johnnie Mae Graham Waller, daughter of the late Isom Graham and Bertha Jones Graham, was born
December 29 th , 1939 in Florence County.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband the late Garland Waller, son Samuel Kennedy, four
sisters Rena Graham, Corrie McFadden, Daisy McFadden, Mary Ellen Fulton; two brothers, Herbert
Graham and Leon Graham.
She received her education in the public schools of Clarendon County. She moved to New York City,
where she worked for Pfizer, until moving back to South Carolina. She held jobs at Baxter
Pharmaceuticals, Coleman and Wal-Mart. In her free time, she loved to sew. Johnnie was a loving
woman who became a foster parent and left a mark on all the children in her care. Still to this day, a lot
of the children referred to her as “Mom”.
On Saturday January 28 th the Lord called her home at River Garden Hebrew Home in Jacksonville, FL.
She leaves to cherish her memories a sister Essie McKenzie, son Jeffery (Perlina) Kennedy of Florence SC,
daughter Marissa (Kenio) Bright of Jacksonville FL, three Stepchildren; Pam Rogers of Cincinnati, OH,
Ethylene (Jerry) Jones of Vanceboro, NC, Mildred (James) Hope of Durham NC and Gordell (Louise)
Waller of Durham NC. Grandchildren: Samuel Jr., Terrell, Nigel, Aubrey, Ishauna, Kayla, and Roniya. One
great grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews.
