Lauina Smith McFadden also known as “Toot”, the daughter of the late Elder Lee
Donald and Pearl Smith was born on July 5 th , 1945. On Friday, June 4 th , 2022 God
called her home in an automobile accident.
Lauina was preceded in death by her daughter Berelena McFadden, four
brothers; Lee Roy, Lee Jr, LD and James Smith, four sisters; Geneva Fleming,
Evelyn Peterson, Letha Mae Jordan and Katrina Brown.
Lauina attended the public schools of Florence County. “Toot” grew up working
on the farm and in the fields helping her father. She became a member of St.
Mark Holiness Church in Lake City, SC under Pastor Bishop Linwood Cooper.
“Toot” was loved by many and will be greatly missed. She was just like a
grandmother to those without a grandmother. We will miss her gentle, outgoing
and outspoken personality. She really loved her family and friends. She enjoyed
spending quality time with them.
Lauina, “Toot” leaves to cherish her memories one daughter; Linder Fullard
(Donald), seven brothers; Calvin (Diane), Frankie (Rosa Lee) and Richard Smith,
Melvin, Leo, Barry and Alton Hardy, seven sisters; Elizabeth Jordan (Max), Ruby
Dickson, Elaine Nero, Mahalia Jones, Abagail Thomas, Pandora Hardy and Judy
McElveen. A special Brother in-law Rev. Jack Peterson. Two grandsons; Dontae
and Jeremy Fullard. A special friend in John “Bubba” Rouse for forty plus years
and his family, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and
friends.
