The late Leonard Graham was born to Mae Frances Graham and M.G. Graham of Lake City, South Carolina. He attended Carver High School where he was a member of the marching band. He received his GED at Job Corp in Lexington Kentucky where he became a skilled welder. He was employed at several welding manufacturing companies, including ESAB Welding Company and Superior Machine Welding Company in Florence, SC, and Southern Metals Company, Charlotte, N.C. Leonard served his country as a member of the United States Army. At an early age, Leonard joined Greater St. James AME Church where he attended Sunday School, and sang on the youth choir. He loved to sing and had a lovely tenor voice.
Preceding him in death are his parents and brother Alonzo Graham and brother-in-law George E. Watkins.
His memories will be cherished by; his son Michael Leonard Graham of Maryland, two sisters, Kertrina A. Graham of Florence, SC, and Cheryl G. Watkins, Ed. D of Ashland, Virginia, three brothers, Anthony T. Graham (Yvette) of Columbia, SC, Barry A. Graham (Debra), of Greenville, SC, and Rufus Graham of New York, sister-n-law, Mary C. Graham of New York, , three aunts, five nieces, one nephew, granddaughter Sha'Kayla Bardon of Sumter SC, five great nieces, one great nephew, a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
