tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building not made by hands, but whose maker
and builder is God.”
The time for the end of life’s journey came suddenly for Mr. Lewis Curdell
Graham, affectionately known as “Cordy” in his hometown of Yalaha Florida on
Sunday evening December 4, 2022 at his residence.
Mr. Lewis Curdell Graham was born on July 28, 1950 in Lake City, SC to
the late Mr. James Cameron and the late Mrs. Comuel Graham Jackson. He was
educated in Florence County Public School District Three, Lake City, SC. After
High School, Curdell was drafted into the US Army where he served four years as
was honorably discharged.
As a young adult he moved to Englewood, New Jersey and made it his home for
several years prior to moving to Yalaha, FL. Growing up he attended Mount Beulah
United Methodist Church and New Bethlehem Baptist Church in Lake City, SC.
In New Jersey, he attended Canaan Baptist Church in Patterson, NJ.
Never one to be afraid of hard work, while in NJ, he worked with his grandfather,
the late William Graham at Graham’s Lawn Service.
Living in FL, he continued to work in lawn and gardening while also following
his passion for bike fests. He traveled the bike circuit all over the US with Chris
Graham Cleaning Service.
Mr. Graham leaves to cherish his precious memories, his children, three
daughter: Ms. Melody Brown McCullough, Ms. Kisha Brown, and Ms. Chaneke A.
Graham.
He was the grandfather of 9, and great grandfather of 16.
His memories will always be cherished by his six loving brothers; Mr. Carl L.
Johnson of Hackensack, NJ, Mr. Calvin P. Graham of Orangeburg, SC, Mr. Joseph
Jackson, Jr. of Englewood, NJ, Mr. Robert (Sabrina) Jackson of Atlanta, GA, Mr.
Geroad Cameron, and Mr. Rodney Cameron both of NJ.
He also left behind three adoring sisters; Dr. Verlie A. Graham Tisdale of
Orangeburg, SC, Ms. Lavetta Cameron, and Ms. Sherry Cameron of Houston, TX.
With the union of his late mother and stepfather, of Englewood, NJ, he was
blessed with three additional sisters; Ms. Joann Jackson of Bergenfield, NJ, Mrs.
Janice Jackson Stroud of Englewood, NJ, and the late Mrs. Joyce Jackson Belfield.
He also leaves behind his loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and
friends.
