Reese Graham Obituary

Private First-Class Reese Herman Graham was born October 18, 1942. This bouncing curious baby
boy was born to the late parents Vinnie “Sweet” Ramsey Graham and Sular Graham in Lake City,
South Carolina. He departed this life and received his golden wings on Thursday, September 9,
2021, and went home to to be with the Lord at the Englewood Hospital, Englewood, New Jersey.
Private First-Class Reese Graham received his education in the Public School System of Florence,
County in Lake City, South Carolina. He enjoyed attending school where he was able to express
himself through play and at the same time learning the necessary skills for life. As a child he
attended Bethlehem Baptist Church, Lake City, South Carolina, where he grew up as a young boy
and participated in various activities such as Sunday school and other church programs.
During his late teenage years, he migrated to Englewood, New Jersey where his other siblings and
cousins were residing. It was during this era of his life that he was drafted into the Military. He spent
three plus years in the Army rendering service in the United States and abroad. Private First-Class
Graham also received an honorable discharge from the military approaching his fourth year in the
Army, leaving with special recognitions and honors. Upon returning to the states, he was employed
with Master Etching Name Plate Printing Company of Englewood, NJ, for many years. One of his
favorite jobs was M & K Alerus of Englewood, Vacuum Cleaning Repairs, and supplies. He spent
his last few hours with M & K Vacuum Repair two days prior to his death.
His employment also took to West Vacuum Cleaning Service and refurbishment of vacuum cleaners
of Englewood, New Jersey. He worked at B&C Janitorial Supplies/Services and Vacuum Cleaners
Repair with Cecil Fulmore, a mentor & friend that introduced him to the business which became
a lifetime career, Paterson, New Jersey. His relaxation time was spent, especially with watching
baseball, football, boxing, track and of course listening to Prince and Jimmy Hendrix...etc. He
was a champion checker player too. Private First-Class Graham was an advent reader of all kinds
of books. It was through reading that his world continued to be fulfilling especially the writings of
ancient philosophers.
Private First-Class Graham is preceded in death by his siblings, brothers, Paul Graham, Sular
Graham, Jr., Ransom Cooper, and sisters, Pauline Graham and Rutha Mae Graham. Private First
Class Graham leaves to cherish his memories Sisters, Jane Virginia Graham, Patriarch of the family,
Hackensack, NJ, Helen Graham, Hackensack, NJ, Brothers; Walter Graham, Englewood, NJ.,
David Graham (Charlotte) of Fort Washington, MD Niece, Coretta Graham Esq. of Corpus Christi
TX, Nephews Nyle C. Graham and Cortlandt S. Graham of whom he called his sons as they
resided with him providing genuine care and sons’ love; Glen Gibson, (Kinsley) MD, Eric Graham
(Vicky) of Florence, SC; Anthony Graham of Englewood, NJ, Vincent Graham, of Atlanta, Ga.,
nephews, Tyrone and Harold Bailey, Nieces; Valencia Graham, Paterson, NJ, Lisa Lynch, Ellen
Bailey, Felicia and Natasha Graham, Carrie Cooper, Mary Graham, Rhonda Hilton, and Jasmine
Miller and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. Private First-Class Reese Herman Graham
will truly be missed.
